With the 3 hour running time, I don't know, I don't see how this movie can top 60 million by much... Who knows maybe they can overcome that obstacle with more prints, but, it's playing in over 3400 theaters, how many damn prints can there be? I think I'd be more inclined to predict 59 million than over 60.

It's now # 3 on Movieone. But really, who cares... that same top 5 list had New York Minute at #1 several times throughout the weekend... and it only made 5.9 million. That is pathetic. Troy will do good.

I don't know, I'm kinda using Scary Movie as a guage and it was consistantly #1 through the entire week, but, it wasn't going against Van Helsing, or... Harry Potter??? It's buzz score has dropped a little bit as well.... I'm sure it will go back up in a couple of days but still. On the other hand, it is unquedtionably the most talked about movie as of late and the buzz is pretty big regardless of the buzz score. It's got tons of messages on MSN movies, under user reviews, 131, that's huge, I think more than twice as many as Van Helsing had at this point. And, finally, it's #4 on yahoo's movie chart which is pretty good, too. But the running time is going to hurt. The 3 hour running time takes off 1 showing from every screen, which is at least 3400 showings less than a 90 minute movie with the same number of theaters. Just look at the Lord of The Rings trilogy's weekend numbers. Return of the King was good, over 70 million, but it had HUGE anticipation. They did open on wednesday as well, but, their numbers weren't as high as they could have been had the films been shorter, I think.

This movie looks very gay.

Remember the line in "Airplane" "Do you like gladiator movies? This is what Peter Graves was talking about.

Anyways, here Lee goes again, first he predicts like 15 million for the Passion, now he's swung the other way and has Troy set to make 71 million bucks! That's as good as the Return of The King, I just don't see it happening.

Not sure, found it on google images... looks like someone got caught banging someone's wife, ran and jumped out the 3rd story window, and landed on a post of some sort.

This movie is sorta a mystery to me. No real A list star power, but looks good from the previews. It's a Wolfgang Peterson film so it will probably be good. If the line is around 50 to 60 I would take over. This movie will bring the girls in with Bana, Pitt, and Bloom as the male leads. I know I really want to see this movie as do a few of my friends so I think the guys will want to check it out as well. The movie going public is really craving a quality movie, because it's been a while since ROTK, and this looks like it could be it.

I'm predicting 73 million

A list = Cruise, Hanks, Ford, Denzel, Mel Gibson, Julia Roberts, Kidman, Zellweger, Zeta Jones, Halle Berry.

You really believe Brad Pitt belongs in this class of actors?

you left out Johny KNoxville, he's da man. I don't know, ok it's probably definitely goin over 60 million, maybe weather or not it will cross 70 is the real question.... I don't know, maybe 68 million... If the tracking is saying 65, you can bet the line will be 66...

Zeta Jones? Yeah she is something else in those T moblie ads.

Johnny Depp is an A-list guy now and after seeing gangs of New York Dicaprio should be considered up there with the best.

Gladiator did good business because people actually believed that Russel Crowe would be a gladiator and not some mini skirt wearing pretty boy like Brad Pitt. (or did you mean the Cuba Gooding boxing gladiator movie?)

Troy's buzz score is 127

That is huge. It also sounds like, on the message boards, that pre-sales for Troy are doing pretty decent, more than Van Helsing, and it's playing on a lot of screens, also at least a little more than Van Helsing...
